Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS)
Career Support Systems (CSS) is an approved provider of Work Based Learning Experiences in each of our service areas.
Pre-ETS Overview
Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) offer an early start at job exploration and foundational skill development for students with disabilities. Pre-ETS are designed to enrich transition planning and the continuum of services necessary to promote movement from school to post-school activities, including but not limited to, postsecondary education/training, competitive integrated employment, independent living, adult services, and community participation.
Students participating in our Work-based Learning Experiences (WBLE) program will benefit from the following:
- Meeting with employers at their place of work to learn about the world of work to develop an understanding of the work duties associated with a particular job or a career of interest. This can involve workplace tours, informational interviews, or via a volunteer/internship/paid/unpaid work experience, etc.
- Learning about, and as appropriate, practicing following common workplace rules
- Identifying an area(s) to develop and enhance work skills
